VideoActive was founded in 1989 Our studios occupy a former watermill on the Wales/Cheshire Border. Although we are located in a delightful rural location, we have invested heavily in satellite technology to maintain broadband connectivity. Our production studios are well equipped with the latest generation digital television cameras linked to a network of computers and digital edit suites. The company was set up initially to create training resources exploiting the late 80s technology called "Interactive Video" - hence the company name. When that technology was overtaken by Interactive CD-ROM in the early 90s, VideoActive was quick to embrace it. Meanwhile, the video and television production capability of the company expanded, as we produced documentaries for BBC2 and television commercials. Also in the early 1990s, we started producing and managing conferences for major corporate clients. We now offer a full digital multimedia service including television production, digital video, digital CD-ROM, DVD, digital imaging, exhibition display panels, exhibition management services and conference management services. We supply a range of almost 100 DVD and video special interest travel and documentary products to the major high street retailers. Our customer base includes The NHS, The Fire Service, Government (Disability Rights Commission), Local Government, Sector Skills Councils (Engineering and Financial Sectors), The Food Industry (Kelloggs), The Glass Industry (Pilkingtons), The Engineering Industry (Caterpillar) and the DIY sector. Our team of scriptwriters, designers, directors, producers and programmers are very flexible to meet the needs of a rapidly developing technology. |
